Some school districts in the region have either called off classes or will hold a remote learning day.
The Dallas City Elementary School District has called off classes and all evening activities.
The Galesburg School District has canceled classes.
Illini West will have a remote learning day.
The LaHarpe Elementary School District is closed and no evening activities will be held.
The Monmouth-Roseville School District is not holding classes.
The West Prairie School District is closed and all activities are postponed.
The Knox County Health Department postponed this evening’s Pediatric and Adolescent COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at the former Bergner’s building. It has been rescheduled for Saturday, January 8, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the former Bergner’s building.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory until 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2022. In addition, a wind chill advisory will be in effect from Midnight until Noon on January 6, 2022 for southeast Iowa and northeast Missouri. Wind chills could reach 25 below zero.
