A wind chill advisory remains in effect until 9:00 a.m. The National Weather Service said very cold wind chills are expected. Wind chills could reach 20 to 29 below zero. The cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
The Salvation Army in Galesburg is operating a warming shelter at Hawthorne Gym, 2265 Veterans Drive. The shelter will operate every night from 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. through the winter season.
The Knox County Health Department canceled today’s COVID-19 testing.
