One man is dead after an officer-involved shooting in Fulton County.
Two Fulton County Sheriff’s Office deputies located a man wanted on a warrant for domestic battery on Monday evening.
During an encounter, the subject pointed a gun at the deputies, according to the Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation.
Both deputies then fired weapons at the subject, who was pronounced dead near Fulton County Road 13 and East Bailey Road, between Vermont and Table Grove.
Neither of the deputies was injured, according to state police.
An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday.
The investigation is ongoing and no other information has been released.
