Galesburg Public Library to host local author fair

A dozen local authors will gather Saturday at the Galesburg Public Library to sign and sell their books.

The Local Author Fair runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 2 upstairs at the library, 40 E. Simmons St. The event is free.

Books for kids, teens, and adults will be for sale. Volunteers will provide free gift wrapping.

Authors include the following:

  • Lauren P. Brown, Who Was I? The Gut-Wrenching Truth About Alzheimer’s and Picasso in the Kitchen – The Art of Leftovers (adult)
  • Juanita E. Davis, In That Moment… FINISH IT!: Biblical Tools for Christian Women When Faced with Life’s Decisions and A Message for the Disciples (adult)
  • Joel Estes, Stand (middle grade, young adult) and Last Pick (children)
  • Abby Lattanzio, The Elementals (teens and adults)
  • Thomas Leverett, Tall Corn State, short stories, haiku, and more (adult)
  • Jannifer Powelson, Rachel and Sammy series (children), Nature Station Mystery series (adult)
  • Sarah E. Ross, Taking You Where I’ve Been (adults)
  • Nadine M. Roth, The Ink of Time and Not a Moment Too Soon (adult)
  • Jill Maglio Ryan, Cuz I Can, The Girl with Gills, Let’s Play Ball (children)
  • Janet Tolle, Silas the Great House Cat and Nellie and the Runaway Drone (children)
  • Marie Smysor Watson, The Things I Used to Do, Our Own Precious Places, and Everything Anything Something Nothing (adult)

Some authors may not take credit cards, so the library recommends bringing cash or checks.
