Keokuk, IA – Big River United Way will kick off its latest fundraising campaign this week. Campaign Chair, Bruce Dunek, says the goal for this year is $150,000. He says the money collected will stay in this region. Dunek says it will go to 20 different agencies, including the American Red Cross, the Boy Scouts, the Girl Scouts, and the Hoerner YMCA. Dunek says this year's campaign will focus on children, and how the organizations improve their lives. The kick-off will take place at this Friday's football game between Keokuk and Central Lee.
