Throughout the month of March the Keokuk Art Center will display a
collection of collage paintings by area artist, Dan Ferguson. Originally from Kahoka,
Missouri, Mr. Ferguson graduated from Quincy University with a Bachelor’s Degree
in Studio Art, and went on to receive his Masters Degree in Visual Art from the
University of Illinois. He has recently moved from Springfield, Missouri, to Keokuk.

In Daniel’s Artist’s Statement he explains “When I’m creating a composition I
strive to stress emotion through form, color and composition.” Entitled What Goes
Around, Comes Around, the pieces in his Keokuk exhibit display a combination of
artistic media and techniques to achieve a variety of visual effects.

Daniel Ferguson’s exhibit will hang in the Round Room Gallery from March 1 st
through March 30 th , with a reception for the artist to be held on Friday, March 3 rd
from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The gallery is located at 210 North 5 th Street within the
Keokuk Public Library/Keokuk Art Center building and is open daily except Sunday.
