The theme “Celebrating Freedom” launches June 12th with the Juneteenth Community Gala at the Oakley Lindsey Civic Center in downtown Quincy. The semi-formal event includes a dinner provided by the Oakley Lindsay Center with a condensed program. Happy hour is from 5-6 PM, dinner and program from 6-7 PM, and live music following at 7 PM. Entertainment features soul artist Tirvarrus Hadley from Mississippi, with BIFOYA Dance Band out of LA as the headliner. The evening culminates with the dance party of the year with the one and only iHeart Radio DJ STEW of St. Louis, MO. Bonus: fantastic door prizes, including a 360 Camera.
