SEISO Kidsymphony Concert: Peter and The Wolf, Encanto, & Star Wars
SEISO Kidsymphony Concert: Peter and The Wolf, Encanto, & Star Wars
“Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra is extremely excited to present Peter and the Wolf, and music from Encanto and Star Wars on Saturday, November 18th and Sunday November 19th. In fact, we are so excited about this concert that we have added two new performance locations this year: Fairfield Arts and Convention Center and Highland High School”, says Executive Director Jeffrey Phillips.
The concert, which is free for everyone college aged and younger to attend, will feature professional Storyteller Michael Boudewyns of Really Inventive Stuff. Musical Director Robert McConnell, Conducting Fellow Jilly Cooke, and SEISO will take a light-hearted approach to introducing students and their families to the symphony orchestra. The concert will include individual instrument demonstrations and the audience will be invited to come on stage after the
concert to see and hear the instruments up close.
Each concert lasts about 45 minutes – not too long for little ones to enjoy from beginning to end. They’re inspiring, fast-paced and very entertaining. Tickets for Kidsymphony concerts are sold on our website www.seiso.us, and at the door ($5 for adults, college aged and younger are
free).
