Internationally acclaimed Irish trio Socks in the Frying Pan will bring their high-energy blend of traditional music, harmony and humor to Ca d’Zan House Concerts in Cambridge on Thursday, August 27. Presented by Crossroads Cultural Connections, the all-ages concert will begin at 7 p.m., following an optional community potluck dinner at 6 p.m.
Known for what they call the “Socks Sound,” the trio combines virtuosic musicianship, deep respect for Irish musical tradition, pitch-perfect harmonies and a generous dose of quick wit and on-stage banter. Their energetic performances have earned them a reputation as one of the leading acts in contemporary Irish traditional music.
Guests are invited to arrive at 6 p.m. for the optional potluck dinner and may bring a dish to share. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. Attendees should bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. Music lovers of all ages are welcome.
