As a thank you to the Macomb community for supporting the 2026 March-a-thon fundraiser, the Macomb High School Marching Bomber Band will perform a free concert in front of Macomb City Hall on September 12, at 4:45pm. Thank you to The Music Shoppe for sponsoring this event!

Join The Nauvoo Orchestra for an evening of music, fun, and community celebration on September 12th at 7:00 p.m.!  This concert will be held at The Nauvoo Discovery Center.  This family-friendly concert features a delightful variety of music that audiences of all ages will enjoy - from familiar favorites and lively classics to exciting selections that will entertain and inspire.  Whether you’re a longtime music lover or experiencing a live orchestra for the first time, this concert offers something for everyone.
Bring the whole family and celebrate the season with an afternoon of beautiful music and unforgettable memories.
Tickets are $5.00.

Get revved up for the Sandburg Car Show from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 13 in the Building A parking lot on the Galesburg campus.

This annual event is open to the public and includes free entry for all exhibitors. The first 100 to pre-register will receive a dash plaque and exhibitor card. Parking for entries is on a first-come, first-served basis. All makes, models, and years of vehicles are welcome. You do not have to be a Sandburg student or employee to show your vehicle.

Food trucks will be on site, and Sandburg swag will be available at the show, which attracts hundreds of car enthusiasts from around the area.

Everyone has a story to tell. This class offers a friendly and relaxed space to explore creative writing through memoir, fiction, poetry, and personal essays. The instructor provides guidance through writing prompts, discussions, and supportive feedback to help participants build confidence and develop their unique voice. No writing experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to write.

The Fort Madison Farmer's Market is growing, and we want you to be part of it! Join us on Mondays at Central Park from 4-6 pm in June-September.

Movie Mondays is a film series connected to the upcoming “Americans and the Holocaust” exhibition. These films will be shown at the *Capitol Theater and will explore themes of communication, propaganda, and public understanding during World War II, highlighting how information shaped perspectives and decisions both then and now. Selections may include classic films from the era, such as “The Great Dictator”, along with other films that provide historical context and encourage meaningful discussion.
