The September 2026 book sale of the Friends of the Burlington Public Library will be held on Friday, September 25 from 9-5 (Friends Preview); Saturday, September 26 (public) from 9-5; and Monday, September 28 from 9-2 ($1 bag sale). As always, non-profit organizations or people may get books for free beginning at 11:00 am.There will be around 10,000 books for sale in all genres, from children's, mystery, romance, sci-fi, history, and much more. This sale will have two new features. The first deals with our higher priced vintage books. We will have within the sale the Vintage Venue, which will feature a few hundred vintage books that have been priced to reflect their value. This is similar to the Collector’s Corner we had in previous years. The Vintage Venue will be available on Friday and Saturday only. The second new feature is the opportunity to buy boxes of books for a set price from 12-2 on Monday. These priced boxes will result in a lower cost than the $1 per bag sale, and you will be allowed to select the books to put in the box. For those people finding a lot of books to purchase, this is an economical way to increase your collection. Box prices will range from $1 to $3 depending on the size of the box. The number of boxes is not restricted.
