The 40th annual Snake Alley Criterium is starting with Friday Night Fever on May 24.
Events begin at 3 PM Friday with the Twilight Criterium and conclude at 5 PM on Saturday as the top male riders from around the country race for the $1,500 first place prize.

Come hear a concert of gorgeous new works written by Macomb composer Whitney Ashe and New York composer Douglas Fisk. The performers will be local harpist Claire Happel Ashe and pianist Ashlee Mack, Michigan oboist Karisa Antonio, and Minnesota vocalist Liz Pearse. The highlight of the program is a world premiere by Whitney Ashe. The free concert will last approximately 45 minutes, followed by a reception.

The Macomb Farmers Market returns to Historic Downtown Macomb’s Chandler Park each Saturday morning, from 8:00 a.m. to Noon, starting on Saturday, May 4 through October 19. Now in its 49th year, the Market’s vendors offer an array of fresh produce, baked goods, honey & jams, meats, Amish goods, fresh flowers, hand-crafted items, and much more — all sold to you by the people who produced them.
The Galesburg Farmers' Market will be starting May 18, 2024.
The Farmers' Market will be near the corner of Simmons and Seminary every Saturday from 8-12, May through September
The market will have local goods like fruits and vegetables, meat and eggs, honey, baked good and prepared foods, handmade crafts and jewelry, and more.
The Quincy Farmers Market will be starting May 18, Saturday and will be running every week from May until October. The Farmers Market will be held at Washington park.
The Farmers Market will have a variety of local goods and services.
The Macomb Fraternal Order of Police is holding its 45th annual Scott Jennings Fishing Contest on May 25th at Spring Lake. Prizes will be awarded to all children that sign up. Awards will be given to the top ten in each age group with the most weight caught. The child with the largest fish will get a special prize. The Scott Jennings Sportsmanship Trophy and plaque will be up for grabs.
Registration will begin at 9:00 AM. Fishing will be from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM.
The Annual Bentonsport Flea Market and Craft Show is May 25 and 26, from 10am to 5pm. Located in beautiful Van Buren County, the Bentonsport Historic District is set next to an iron truss bridge across the Des Moines River, and accented with 1840s buildings, a large rose garden and artesian shops. Enjoy many product and food vendors while being entertained by musicians and the clip-clop of horses pulling a covered wagon. Bentonsport Historic District is between Keosauqua and Bonaparte on Highway J-40.
Come and spend a few hours outdoors helping the Friends of Argyle and park staff remove nonnative plants from the woods at Argyle Lake State Park. Litter collecting is an option for younger volunteers. Tools and gloves will be provided or bring your own. Meet at the park visitor center for supplies. Located on the beautiful prairie of the Forgottonia area of Illinois, we meet at the First Presbyterian Church of Macomb (400 East Carroll St).
We welcome all fiber enthusiasts. Our members have varied interests including knitting, weaving, crocheting,felting, spinning, quilting, rug hooking, embroidery, tatting, raising fiber animals…Join us!

Attendees are invited to learn, listen, and ask questions as WIC & CACFP Director Christine O'Brien and Center Director Lisa Nafziger talk about the nutrition programs available through Community Action. These include WIC, CACFP, and the Food Pantry.
Attendees can learn who can qualify, how to sign up, what is provided through the programs, and more.
The presentation will begin at 9 AM at Burlington Public Library in the large meeting room near the main entrance.
