Business and Health Resources Regarding Coronavirus

Local, state, and federal government agencies are working to help individuals and businesses get through the coronavirus pandemic. TSPR has accumulated a list of links you might find helpful and informative.

BUSINESS

FBI and the U.S. Attorney for the Central District of Illinois: Issued a joint statement about COVID-19 fraud.  You can read the statement here.

Federal Government: The U.S. Treasury Department, Internal Revenue Service, and the U.S. Department of Labor announced that small and midsize employers can begin taking advantage of two new refundable payroll tax credits, designed to immediately and fully reimburse them, dollar-for-dollar, for the cost of providing Coronavirus-related leave to their employees.  More information can be found here.

Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity: The department is providing emergency assistance programs for Illinois small businesses.  Details can be found here.

Illinois Department of Employment Security. IDES said it recently adopted emergency rules to try to make the unemployment insurance system as responsive to the current situation as possible. Details can be found here.

Iowa: The state will provide disaster assistance for small businesses.  More information can be found here.

Iowa Workforce Development. Employees impacted by COVID-19 closures can apply for unemployment benefits online here.  For more information, visit the Iowa Workforce Development website. IWD also has a page for updates and resources about COVID-19. Click here to read it.

(UPDATE March 23): First quarter unemployment tax payments that are due April 30  will be delayed until the end of the 2nd quarter (July 31, 2020).  Eligible employers include those with 50 or fewer employees. Eligible employers also must be in good standing with no delinquencies in quarterly payments. 

Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce.  The organization has a resource page for businesses affected by COVD-19. You can read it here.

Small Business Development Center. Tips on preparing your small business for coronavirus can be found here.

U.S. Small Business Administration. Information about SBA assistance in response to the coronavirus can be found here.

The SBA is now making loans available to small businesses and private, non-profit organizations to help alleviate economic injury caused by the coronavirus.  You can learn more and apply here.  The website might be slow during daytime hours due to heavy traffic.

The MDH Convenience Clinic for walk-in patients is temporarily removed from the MDH Family Clinic and into the former Internal Medicine clinic. The new location will remain inside Health Services Building 2, but on the first floor.

Also, McDonough District Hospital has created a Coronavirus Nurse Triage Hotline and a Drive-Thru Screening Station.  Here is a link to details.

Memorial Hospital: The hospital has implemented restrictions on visitors. Click here for details.

Also, the Women & Family Medical Group clinic is temporarily moved to the Memorial Medical Clinic in Carthage. 

Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services. Click here to visit the state agency’s web page devoted to coronavirus.  In addition, the state has launched a telephone hotline staffed by medical professionals for people seeking guidance on the novel coronavirus. The state health department said people can call 877-435-8411 at any time on any day.
