The Iowa State Medical Examiner's Office released the identities of the three victims of a fatal trailer fire in Montrose. The office said Tuesday that Rebecca Ferrall, 34; Jayden Trent, 9; and Landen Trent, 2 1/2 died of smoke inhalation.

Montrose Fire and Rescue responded at 1:00 p.m. on Mon., Jan. 11 to the fire at 2777 252nd Avenue. Upon arrival, they found the trailer fully engulfed by fire.

The one person who survived the fire, Jacob Russell, 33, of rural Keokuk, suffered severe burns and lacerations. The Lee County Sheriff's Office said in a news release he is undergoing treatment at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.

Investigators are still trying to determine what started the fire, though it's not considered to be suspicious in nature.
