THE GREAT PUMPKIN HUNT IS BACK!
The pumpkins have escaped… again!
Once upon a time, 30 little ceramic pumpkins decided they were tired of sitting quietly at The Crafty Coop. So, on one very special Saturday in October, they’re going to sneak out of the studio and hide themselves all around Downtown Macomb!
The 4th Annual Great Pumpkin Hunt is happening during Moon Over Macomb on Saturday, October 17th from 10 AM–12 PM!
Our mischievous little pumpkins will be hiding throughout Chandler Park and around the Downtown Square, waiting for some lucky pumpkin hunters to discover them. Find one? IT’S YOURS!
Bring your found pumpkin back to The Crafty Coop during business hours and paint it FREE! Pick your favorite colors, add some creativity, and give your little runaway pumpkin a personality of its own. But remember… There are only 30 pumpkins, so we’re asking everyone to PLEASE limit it to ONE pumpkin per family. We want to spread the pumpkin-hunting joy as far as we can and give more families a chance to join the fun!
After your masterpiece is painted, your pumpkin will stay at The Coop for its very important kiln adventure. Once it has been fired, you can come back and pick up your finished little treasure!
So gather your favorite people, put on your best pumpkin-hunting shoes, and come explore downtown Macomb during Moon Over Macomb!
Keep your eyes peeled. Check the corners. Watch the bushes. And whatever you do… DON’T LET A PUMPKIN ESCAPE

Celebrate the harvest season with us at the Western Illinois Museum (WiM) during Downtown Macomb's Moon Over Macomb festivities! On Saturday, October 17th, from 10:00 am to noon, drop in to learn how to make corn husk dolls, view artifacts from WiM's collection, and taste historic culinary traditions. 

Throughout the event, guests can explore harvest traditions at interactive stations illustrating food preparation and preservation for the winter months. Victorian ladies Mrs. Bath and Mrs. Chu will demonstrate time-honored techniques for making homemade apple butter. At the same time, volunteer Dona Lantz will host a peach jam station with canning tips and samples. Guests can learn about harvesting grains, including corn shelling and an 1873 reaper once used to harvest wheat for bread, and taste fresh-baked bread generously donated by our local bread-baking expert, Aly Sturgis, owner of Sullivan Taylor Coffee House. Come taste seasonal treats and experience harvest traditions that bring history to life! 

This family-friendly event is free and open to the public, making it the perfect way to embrace the fall spirit with friends and family.

 Lil Rev is a longtime series favorite and an award winning master of the harmonica and the ukulele.  He’s a witty, engaging performer whose fast paced shows covering a wide range of styles from Stephen Foster songs to Delta Holler Blues to the music of Tin Pan Alley. A seasoned multi-instrumentalist equally adept with a flat-pick guitar, old-time banjo, or blues mandolin, he was Hohner's 1996 National Blues Harmonica Champion and was inducted into The Traditional Old-Time Country Music Hall of Fame in 2003.
