Our 6th market of the season is here! Hot food this week will be from Little Pallet Farmhouse, and music by Tex Carroll. Production is increasing every week. Our vendors love seeing you!

The Macomb Farmers Market is dedicated to providing an opportunity for local farmers, food producers, artisans, and crafters to sell directly to the consumer in a venue that builds community and supports the development of entrepreneurs.

All your favorite vendors will be there selling produce, plants, baked goods, clothes, and many more. Stop by to check all these amazing products!
Market starts at 8 am and ends at 1 pm at Washington Park!

The Mount Sterling Farmers Market began in 2017 as a grassroots effort led by community members with the goal of promoting local food access, small businesses, and community gathering, laying the foundation for the market we know today.

30th Annual Folklife Festival
Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m
​This beloved community tradition celebrates the rich history, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage of our region through a full day of hands-on experiences, live demonstrations, traditional arts, music, and family-friendly activities.
From blacksmithing and woodworking to fiber arts, pottery, and other time-honored trades, guests can watch skilled makers at work, learn about traditional techniques, and purchase one-of-a-kind handcrafted items directly from the artists.
​Returning to Folklife this year is the 2nd Annual Tug of War Showdown, where teams will face off in an exciting bracket-style competition to determine who has the strength and determination to claim victory. The winning team will take home the coveted championship trophy, earn year-long bragging rights, and cement their place in history.

Western Illinois University Theatre and Dance has announced its Fall 2026 season, featuring a lineup of classic theatre, contemporary musical theatre, original dance works, and a showcase highlighting the talents of WIU students and faculty. The Fall 2026 season will take place in the new Goldfarb Center for Performing Arts, with performances in the Clow Theatre and Hainline Theatre, in Brown Hall.

TWELFTH NIGHT is a lively romantic comedy about mistaken identity, love, and self-discovery. After being shipwrecked, Viola disguises herself as a man and becomes entangled in a love triangle involving Duke Orsino and Lady Olivia, leading to confusion, humor, and unexpected revelations. Through wit and disguise, the play explores love in all its foolishness and joy.

Lit & Local Evening Fest is your go-to night out for all things creative, cozy, and community-driven. This vibrant evening event brings together a curated lineup of local vendors showcasing unique handmade goods—from art and decor to one-of-a-kind gifts you won’t find anywhere else.

As you stroll and shop, enjoy live music that sets the perfect laid-back vibe, plus a variety of food and drink trailers serving up delicious bites and refreshing sips. Whether you’re coming to support small businesses, discover new favorites, or just soak in a fun, lively atmosphere, Lit & Local is the perfect way to spend your evening.
