The Fort Madison Farmer's Market is growing, and we want you to be part of it! Join us on Mondays at Central Park from 4-6 pm in June-September.

Prairie Players Civic Theatre is excited to announce A Night of One Acts, an evening of short plays to be presented on Saturday, September 19. Auditions for actors will be held on Sunday, August 16, at 2:00 P.M. and Monday, August 17, at 6:00 P.M. at 160 South Seminary Street in Galesburg. This will be followed by a four-week rehearsal period leading up to the performance.
A Night of One Acts is designed to be an accessible entry point for those curious about theatre, while also providing a welcoming path back for veteran participants. With a shorter rehearsal process and simplified production elements, this format allows for creativity without a large time commitment.
We're delighted to share that the two shows that are being staged this year are: Wishing Well, written and directed by Charlie Vestal, and The Monkey's Paw, based on the classic short story by W. W. Jacobs and directed by Adam Chasteen.

Vestal is looking for actors who can play 30 years or younger, and Chasteen is looking for actors to play 20 years and older.
Both directors ask that those who are auditioning be at least 18 years old.

The market emphasizes locally grown produce and products, ensuring that all items are sourced from Illinois growers. This focus on local sourcing helps to reduce transportation emissions and supports the regional economy.
The market welcomes new vendors and offers a variety of goods, including fruits, vegetables, baked and canned goods, as well as artwork and crafts. It operates between 3 and 6 PM, making it accessible for afternoon and early evening shoppers.

Open Mic Nights are back at Sullivan Taylor. Anyone with musical talent is welcome to preform Tuesday nights from 5 to 8 p.m. at SulTay! Not performing? That’s okay! Anyone is welcome to stop by and check out some music, do some homework, hang out with friends, or just grab a late night treat! We thank everyone who’s attended the last few Open Mic Nights and will see you all at the next one ! 🎷🎶 ☕️

Toddlers Plus Tuesday
This program is for toddlers plus their families and is offered after hours. This program is in collaboration with ROE #33 educators. Special developmental activities will be available each month. Reduced admission rate is $6.50. Members are free.

The Americans and the Holocaust is a traveling exhibition from the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and the American Library Association (ALA) that examines the motives, pressures, and fears that shaped Americans’ responses to Nazism, war, and genocide in Europe during the 1930s and 1940s. The exhibit is free and open to the public during regular library hours for self-guided tours. Guided group tours are also available upon request.

Soak up the rest of the summer & brighten your room with a crocheted sunshine plushie! Participants will learn how to make basic crochet stitches in this beginner-friendly workshop.

*Get Hooked Crochet Workshops are open to ages 14 and up. All yarn, crochet hooks, and darning needles are included in the registration fee although participants are welcome to bring their own.

Immediately following the Board of Trustees' regular meeting, the Burlington Public Library will welcome the community to the opening reception for Americans and the Holocaust. Guests are invited to explore the exhibit through self-guided tours, and light refreshments will be provided. This reception offers an opportunity to experience the exhibition and learn more about the stories, themes, and historical questions it explores.
