Engineering challenges keep this camp moving!
This is the third annual LWV fundraiser event. For over 100 years, the LWV has been a nonpartisan, activist grassroots organization that believes voters should play a critical role in democracy. We are dedicated to registering and educating voters and defending democracy.
Laura Belin will be our guest speaker. She the lead author of Bleeding Heartland, a blog that provides original reporting and commentary on Iowa politics, state government, social and environmental issues. She regularly appears on KHOI Community Radio's Capitol Week and is a member of the Iowa Writers Collaborative group.
A light supper will be served with desserts from The Ivy.
Prairie Hills Resource Conservation & Development welcomes people to a special Open House this summer at Spoon River Outreach Center to celebrate our many expanding programs! On July 23, 2025 from 4:30-6:30 pm, folks interested in PHRCD’s programs and partners can come enjoy refreshments and learn about opportunities to make a difference and give back to their community. Staff will be present to answer questions about Prairie Land Conservancy, the small business loan and facade improvements programs, the brownfield program, and the new Prairie Hills Land Bank Authority.
Also, in attendance will be:The Macomb Food Co-Op Foundation: established to support the Macomb Food Co-Op and raise funds to purchase the current building.The La Moine River Ecosystem Partnership: A collaboration of landowners, residents, and organizations dedicated to the protection, restoration, and stewardship of natural resources of the La Moine River watershed.The Macomb Community Cat Project: established to improve the lives of community cats through a Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, & Return program. The Macomb Farmers Market: one of Illinois’ oldest continual markets which is celebrating their 50th Anniversary this year and always looking for new vendors, volunteers, and partners.

The Macomb Farmers Market is dedicated to providing an opportunity for local farmers, food producers, artisans and crafters to sell directly to the consumer in a venue that builds community and supports the development of entrepreneurs.
The Macomb Farmer market is in Chandler Park and Downtown Macomb IL every Saturday (starting from May 3rd to October 18th) and Thursdays (Starting May 29 to October 16th.

The Jefferson Street Farmers Market offers the best local produce, baked goods, canned goods, plants, and crafts in the region, along with food vendors and live entertainment! The market runs on Thursdays from 4:30 PM to 7 PM, May 5 through September 26.

withonevoice is a new, non-profit professional vocal ensemble of sixteen singers based in Illinois with a week-long residency program at Western Illinois University in Macomb. The ensemble is comprised of professional musicians and teachers from Illinois, Iowa, New York, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, with a vision to provide performances, educational experiences and workshops that promote and model vocal versatility and exploration.
Each concert features diverse vocal qualities and commissioned works that represent a wide array of composers and musical styles. withonevoice strongly believes in access to the arts for all and leads annual educational workshops, using the Estill Voice model, across the US to help everyone find their voice.
The third-season residency takes place from July 20-24 on the Macomb campus, and rehearsals are open to the public.
The performances are FREE with RSVP ticket reservations and a suggested donation.
