Stronghurst IL is holding its Farmers Market on Broadway Street every other Monday from May 19th to September 8th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. For all dates see below

We will have a costume contest, a Trunk or Treat contest, food to purchase, bake sale and silent auction

Engine and Caboose Preschool ProgramTuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11:30Book will be read at 10:30am.Engine and Caboose is a weekly preschool program for children ages 2 to 5 years old. It promotes early literacy, fine motor and math skills. FREE with paid admission.
Downtown on the Rushville SquareVendor spaces are offered on a first come basis. The market begins on the West side of the square and spreads around the other sides as needed. Vendors may also set up in the grass but staking is not allowed, please use weights to hold your canopy.
Our Farmers Market takes place March – October every Friday from 7am-12pm and Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. We also have a special Third Saturday Market. This market takes place on the third Saturday of every month from 7am-12pm.

ANNEX GALLERY
ANN BLAAS is a Chicago-born artist based in Chicago, IL. She received her MFA from Northern Illinois University 1996. (Under Gordon Dorn) She is an abstract painter/ educator. Her work alternates from painting on mylar, and canvas, as well as murals and drawings. Stylistically the work incorporates a graffiti styled abstraction with intuitive and repetitive gestural mark making that incorporates areas of tension and release along with poetical referential elements. Recent exhibitions include group exhibition at Beverly Art Center, Stardust: Cellular to Celestial, Two-Person exhibition, Shapes and Colors, at Studio Break Gallery ( Ann Blaas and Eric Ockrassa ), also, featured on two recent podcasts with David Linneweh on Studio-Break. Recent residency and exhibition at Fulton Mkt Kitchen, Chicago. Group mural Blast at Nicky’s in Beverly, Window Installation at Two Mile Coffee and feature on WTTW’s Chicago Tonight for Beverly’s Altwalk, curated by Sal Campbell during the pandemic- and looking forward to fall 2023 solo exhibition at Benedictine University in Lisle. She teaches Painting, Drawing, Studio Art & Contemporary Art at College of DuPage, Harper College, and Joliet Junior College.
Open Mic Nights are back at Sullivan Taylor. Anyone with musical talent is welcome to preform Tuesday nights from 5-8pm at SulTay! Not preforming? That’s okay! Anyone is welcome to stop by and check out some music, do some homework, hang out with friends, or just grab a late night treat!
