Grab your friends, get creative, and get ready to sip, taste, shop, and stroll through Downtown Burlington during Sip, Taste & Stroll on Friday, September 18, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
This popular Downtown Partners, Inc. event invites participants to explore downtown businesses while enjoying samples, special stops, shopping, and a fun evening out in the heart of Burlington.
This year’s theme is “Anything but a Cup!” Participants are encouraged to have a little fun and bring their creativity, but an official event cup will still be provided at check-in for sampling throughout the evening.
Participating businesses throughout Downtown Burlington will welcome attendees with samples and special experiences as guests make their way from stop to stop. The event provides a unique opportunity to discover new businesses, revisit favorite downtown destinations, and enjoy everything the district has to offer.

Tickets are $20 in advance through September 1.
Participants may begin checking in at 4:30 PM, where they will receive their event cup and map to guide them through the evening.

Our 6th market of the season is here! Hot food this week will be from Little Pallet Farmhouse, and music by Tex Carroll. Production is increasing every week. Our vendors love seeing you!

The Farmer’s Market is a true grower’s market. Products that are allowed for sale are directly grown, baked, or produced by the person who is setting up at the market. The market generally features for purchase fresh vegetables and fruits, meat, baked goods, flowers and plants, pumpkins, gourds, and more! Visitors can also enjoy live music on select Saturdays and free coffee at every market!

The Macomb Farmers Market is dedicated to providing an opportunity for local farmers, food producers, artisans, and crafters to sell directly to the consumer in a venue that builds community and supports the development of entrepreneurs.

All your favorite vendors will be there selling produce, plants, baked goods, clothes, and many more. Stop by to check all these amazing products!
Market starts at 8 am and ends at 1 pm at Washington Park!

Hello and welcome to the Galesburg Farmers Market. We have a variety of vendors who offer fresh and locally grown foods and plants, as well as a wide range of affordable handmade items. Feel free to come and shop, or if you are interested in being a vendor, please speak with Kathy, who is the Market Manager, or Myra, Market Assistant. We will be happy to help you out.

Join us on Saturday, September 19, 2026 for the 30th Annual Great River Bridge Race! Experience the energy of one of the greatest events in Burlington that brings our community together. This event offers multiple options to give everyone an opportunity to cross the Great River Bridge on foot, regardless of skill level. All race proceeds benefit the Burlington Parks and Recreation Department, so YOU will help create a lasting impact for everyone in our community. Don't miss this opportunity to capture the breathtaking views of the Mighty Mississippi, as the Great River Bridge is typically closed to pedestrians! The 10k and 5k will both be timed and scored by Nonstop Race Management. Results will be posted on the Nonstop Race Management website.

Participants may choose from a timed 5K or 10K distances or the approximately 1.5-mile Bridge Walk. The 5K and 10K begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by the Bridge Walk at 9:45 a.m. All events begin and finish at the Port of Burlington.  Whether running for time, jogging with friends, or just walking the course, participants are sure to have a good time on this unique route, with the opportunity to go over the Great River Bridge on foot. 

- 10K: 9:00 a.m. – $30

- 5K: 9:00 a.m. – $30

- Bridge Walk: 9:45 a.m. – $25

- 5K and 10K are timed

- Bridge Walk is approximately 1.5 miles and is not timed

- Placement medals will be awarded to the top three men and women in the 5K and 10K

- Race results will be posted online

Out of the Darkness Community Walks are AFSP's signature fundraising events, bringing people together across the country to raise awareness and funds for suicide prevention. Whether you've been personally touched by suicide loss or simply want to show up for your community, these Walks are a powerful way to connect and take action together.
Every dollar raised here in Illinois goes directly toward research, advocacy, and education programs in our local schools, workplaces, and communities.

The Great River Bridge Race was established in 1995 and continues to be a legacy event in the Burlington community year after year. This event provides a unique opportunity for participants to cross the Great River Bridge on foot, as it is typically closed to pedestrians. This race offers multiple events, including a 5K / 10K race, as well as a 1.5-mile Bridge Walk. The 28th Annual Great River Bridge Race is scheduled on September 19, 2026.
