The Macomb Farmers Market is dedicated to providing an opportunity for local farmers, food producers, artisans and crafters to sell directly to the consumer in a venue that builds community and supports the development of entrepreneurs.
The Macomb Farmer market is in Chandler Park and Downtown Macomb IL every Saturday (starting from May 3rd to October 18th) and Thursdays (Starting May 29 to October 16th.
Enjoy fresh vegetables, fruits, cookies, pies, breads, popcorn, eggs, meat, honey, jams and jelly and more at the Galesburg Farmers Market every Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM May through September
The Farmers Market will be held in a lot at 362 East Simmons St, Galesburg IL 61401.
Every Thursday & Saturday from 8 am until Noon, the Macomb Farmers Market is held in Chandler Park -- with fresh local produce, eggs, honey, jam, baked goods, & flavored popcorn, as well as fresh cut flowers & live plants, and both personal care products & hand-crafted goods made by local artisans. On Saturday only, you'll find all that plus packaged meat, ready-to-eat brunch meals, on-site knife sharpening, free professional dog training, and live performances by local musicians.
Join us for a morning or afternoon of paddling and enjoying nature on beautiful Lake Argyle.
Kayaks paddles, and life jackets are being provided by the Friends of Argyle. Ten adult kayaks and 2 youth kayaks (for ages 5+) are available, so space is limited to the first 12 people to register for each tour. Two times are being offered each day, and each outing will be about 2 hours. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Meet at the parking area near the dam/spillway for this program.

Participation in any program involving the use of FOA equipment (skis, kayaks, paddleboards, etc.) will require participants to become a member of the Friends of Argyle organization. Annual membership fees are $10 per individual, $15 for a single parent family and $20 for a two-parent family.
As the breezes become a little brisk and the days begin to shorten, nature begins the process of preparing for the cold winter months ahead. Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy nature and the magnificent colors of autumn throughout the park. We will meet at the visitor center at 10:00am and hike 1-2 miles on moderate terrain. GCC Fall Season begins with our first night of rehearsals. We will be doing two concerts for this semester, one on Saturday, October 25th at 7:30 pm and the other on Saturday, November 15th at 7:30 pm. We will be hosting a community choral event, "A Festival of Voices" and performing "An American Tapestry", a collection of works inspired by American poets and composers, including Randall Thompson's "Frostiana" and Alex Berko's "Sacred Place". No auditions are necessary, just a love of singing! Fees for the semester are $15, students are free.
